Burrendong Wind Farm

With towering ridgelines and powerful winds, the central west region of NSW is an excellent location for wind energy generation.

The project area is east of Lake Burrendong, in the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone, an area identified as optimal for new projects to help NSW achieve its renewable energy targets.

The public exhibition period for the project's Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) took place in Q4, 2023 and closed on Wednesday, 20 December. Ark Energy is now preparing a response to submissions.

The EIS documents are available from the Burrendong Wind Farm page in the NSW Government’s Major Projects Portal.

Ark Energy welcomes questions and input from members of the community and other interested parties.

Questions and comments can be send to the project team via email.
