Boomer Green Energy Hub

The Boomer Green Energy Hub represents a significant opportunity for Queensland's central west region to benefit from Australia's energy transition. The project area is located approximately 30 km south-west of Marlborough and 70 km south of St Lawrence. The site has strong winds, is close to high voltage transmission lines and has good road access with few neighbouring properties.

Status

The project is at the early stages. Work underway includes wind resource monitoring, cultural heritage studies with the Traditional Owners, the Barada Kabalbara Yetimarala People, environmental assessment work, consultation, and civil and electrical design.
