Rye Park Wind Farm
Rye Park Wind Farm is located in the Southern Tablelands, one of the windiest areas in NSW. The project was identified by our company in 2008, with greenfield development commencing in the same year. Our company was responsible for the entire development including land tenure negotiations, consultation, wind monitoring and development approvals, and has now successfully completed one of the most challenging developments in NSW.
The project has been sold to Tilt Renewables who are now preparing for construction.
The proposed Rye Park Wind Farm is located to the north of Yass and east of Boorowa, NSW in the vicinity of the township of Rye Park. It is proposed to generate up to 327 MW of power with a potential for over a terawatt hour of production each year.
The Rye Park Wind Farm project was initially developed in 2008, when the first monitoring mast was installed. Tilt Renewables acquired the project in November 2014 and worked with our company in securing the planning approval.
The site has been selected for its exposed windy ridges, cleared grazing land and proximity to the national electricity grid.
