Project update
Over the past few months work has continued for wind resource monitoring, cultural heritage studies with the Traditional Owners, the Barada Kabalbara Yetimarala People, and on site surveys for environmental assessment studies. As more information has become available the project's design has been refined and is expected to involve 130-140 wind turbines.
Thank you to all those who joined us at information sessions in Marlborough and Duaringa earlier this year, and engaged with the project team at Beef Week in Rockhampton in May.
The project team has also welcomed Ark Energy's senior development manager Rosahlena Robinson as project lead and Rockhampton local Adam Greenhalgh as project officer.
Next steps
The project team is working towards finalising the proposed site layout early next year. When it is ready local information sessions will be scheduled. Lodgment of the development application and environmental impact assessment is planned for mid-2025.
Thank you
Thank you to all those who have engaged with us on this project to date.
We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable festive season and look forward to updating you again in early 2025.
