Exhibition of EPBC Act documentation completed

RE: Lotus Creek Wind Farm, near St Lawrence, Queensland (EPBC 2020/8867)

PRELIMINARY DOCUMENTATION UNDER THE ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION AND BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION ACT 1999 (EPBC Act)

Lotus Creek Wind Farm Pty Ltd proposes to develop the Lotus Creek Wind Farm Project between Mackay and Rockhampton, approximately 20 km west of St Lawrence in central Queensland. The project involves the construction and operation of up to 55 wind turbine generators and associated infrastructure.

The proposed action was determined a Controlled Action under the EPBC Act with a Preliminary Documentation level of assessment. The controlling provisions are ‘Listed Threatened Species and Communities’ (sections 18 and 18A) and ‘Listed Migratory Species’ (sections 20 and 20A).

Draft Preliminary Documentation and associated attachments were on display for a minimum of 10 business days between Tuesday 26 April and Monday 9 May 2022.

Public comments were sought between Tuesday 26 April and Monday 9 May 2022. No comments were received.

Final Preliminary Documentation and associated attachments were on display for a minimum of 10 business days between Monday 30 May and Monday June 13 2022.

Documentation was on display at the following locations:
