The project team is planning to host local noise assessment briefings and a public noise assessment information session in February 2022.

Small noise assessment briefings are being held for residents and owners of properties located to the east and west of the project site in Flintstone, Arthurs Lake Road, Wilburville , Shannon and Penstock.

These briefings will be limited to small groups and applicable Covid protocols will be observed.

If you live in or own property in any of these areas and have not yet registered to attend please contact the project team on info@stpatricksplainswindfarm.com.au. Attendees will be notified directly of the details for their briefing.

A public noise assessment information session will be held for all other interested parties and community members: 2pm, Saturday 19 February 2022, Steppes Hall, 5813 Highland Lakes Road, Steppes

All briefings and the information session will be attended by an acoustic specialist from Marshall Day Acoustics.

Work on the development application and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is continuing. When finalised the EIS will be lodged with Central Highlands Council and the Environment Protection Authority (EPA). After it has been accepted by the EPA it will put on public exhibition. An update will be issued to notify the community of the exhibition dates for the EIS when this is known, along with information on how to make a submission.

The EPA will also assess the proposal under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act), under the bilateral agreement between the Tasmanian and Federal Governments.
