Epuron has reaffirmed its commitment to the Clean Energy Council’s Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Projects following its review and update in August 2021.

The Clean Energy Council explains: The Charter is a voluntary set of commitments for Clean Energy Council members designed to clearly communicate the standards that the signatories will uphold in the development of current and new clean energy projects. It outlines a commitment by signatories to engage respectfully with the communities in which they plan and operate projects, to be sensitive to environmental and cultural values and to make a positive contribution to the regions in which they operate.

As one of the longest operating renewable energy companies in Australia, Epuron was quick to embrace the Charter as a founding signatory when it was first launched by the CEC in 2018. Today, almost 50 companies involved in Australia's renewable energy industry have signed it.

“We are proud to reaffirm our commitment to the Clean Energy Council’s Best Practice Charter and value its efforts to establish high standards for all renewable energy companies operating in Australia,” said Epuron co-founder and executive director Martin Poole.

As a developer of new projects and often the first renewable energy company rural and regional communities form a relationship with, Poole said Epuron can set a high standard of engagement from the start and for the early phases of a project.
