Community consultation sessions for the proposal were held in August 2025. The project team thanks everyone who attended, and for the insights shared and feedback received. The materials shared are available here.

Topics of interest raised by session attendees included roads and transport, biosecurity, bushfire management, protection of farmland, workforce accommodation, decommissioning, telecommunications and local benefits including employment and community benefit opportunities.

Interested community members are invited to apply to be part of a Community Consultation Group for the project. An information pack including a nomination form can be downloaded here.

Ark Energy is a signatory to the Clean Energy Council's (CEC) Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Projects and this month the CEC published annual signatory reports, showcasing the work being done around Australia by renewable energy companies to deliver on their Charter commitments. We are proud to highlight the work of the Boomer Green Energy Hub project team in Ark Energy’s 2025 Best Practice Charter report. Read more here.

The project team is preparing to submit a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to the Australian Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). The Draft EIS will respond to DCCEEW's assessment guidelines and after review will be placed on public exhibition.
