Best Practice Charter 2025 report
Spotlight on good community engagement
Ark Energy is a signatory to the Clean Energy Council's (CEC) Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Projects, a voluntary set of commitments to engage respectfully with communities, to be sensitive to environmental and cultural values and to make a positive contribution to the regions in which we operate.
On 5 November the CEC published 2025's annual Charter signatory reports, showcasing the work being done around Australia to deliver on the Charter commitments by more than 40 renewable energy developers and operators.
The CEC and its members recognise that projects can only succeed when communities are properly engaged, impacts are mitigated and benefits are shared.
With around 400 real-world examples of initiatives and projects, collectively the reports form the most comprehensive overview ever compiled of how clean energy projects are supporting regional communities around Australia.
They show an industry that is continuing to raise the bar for development and engagement practice in regional areas, and contributing significant, meaningful and lasting benefits to communities and First Nations peoples.
Ark Energy is proud to be a signatory to the CEC's Best Practice Charter and to share the great work the company's project teams have been doing to involve and support the communities around our projects in NSW, Queensland and Tasmania.
