Boulder Creek Wind Farm Project (EPBC 2020/8772)

NOTIFICATION FOR PUBLICATION OF PRELIMINARY DOCUMENTATION UNDER THE ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION AND BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION ACT 1999 (EPBC Act)

The following notice is published pursuant to Section 95B(4) of the EPBC Act.

Boulder Creek Wind Farm Pty Ltd (a subsidiary of Epuron Projects Pty Ltd), proposes to develop the Boulder Creek Wind Farm Project between the localities of Mount Morgan and Westwood, Queensland. The project involves the construction and operation of up to 60 wind turbine generators and associated infrastructure.

The proposed action was determined a Controlled Action under the EPBC Act with a Preliminary Documentation level of assessment. The controlling provisions are “Listed Threatened Species and Communities” (sections 18 & 18A) and “Listed Migratory Species” (sections 20 & 20A).

Public comments were sought between 6 December 2021 and 17 December 2021. The period for public comment has now closed. No comments were received.

The Preliminary Documentation (including an Additional Information Response, MNES technical report and associated attachments) was available at the following locations:

• Banana Shire Regional Council (Biloela office): 62 Valentine Plains Rd, Valentine Plains QLD 4715.
