Burrendong Wind Farm Update - December 2020
Assessment studies underway
The NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) has issued Secretary’s environmental assessment requirements (SEARs) for the project’s environmental impact statement (EIS).
Epuron has appointed Eco Logical Australia to undertake the independent studies for the EIS, which will include reports for landscape and visual impact, noise, biodiversity, traffic and transport, heritage, water and soils, waste, and social and economic impacts. Studies and surveys are underway and will be conducted over the next six months.
Visual impact survey
As part of the EIS Eco Logical Australia is preparing a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment. This requires input from the local community to help identify the viewpoints, landscape values and visual aspects of the local area of most value to local residents and stakeholders.
Members of the community can participate by completing the online Community Insights Survey here.
