On 5 July 2017 the NSW Minister for Planning granted development consent for the proposed 105 MW Nevertire Solar project. The project is now set to progress towards construction. The construction phase of the project will see many jobs created in the region in both work directly on the installation of the project and in supporting those workers, for example in the provision of food, fuel and accommodation.
