The Yulara Solar Farm has had its first birthday. Analysis of the performance of the solar plant during the year shows the site has performed above expectations. Epuron and Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia teamed up in 2014 to supply the landmark Ayer's Rock Resort with clean energy and reduce its dependence on compressed natural gas deliveries.

The project was completed in March 2016 and has a total capacity of 1.8 megawatts spread across five different sites at the Resort and the township of Yulara. Averaged across a year the solar farm is designed to supply around 15% of the town's usage and up to around 30% of its peak demand.
