Origin Energy announced the completion of its Cullerin Range wind farm in February 2009. The project commenced in 2008 and involved a number of contractors including CATCON and Areva T&D in the design and construction, the turbines were supplied by REpower who are also responsible for their maintenance.  The wind farm has a capacity of 30 MW which is generated by 15 turbines, this will produce sufficient power for 15,000 homes and prevent 100,000 tons of carbon emissions each year.
