The company is a signatory to the Clean Energy Council’s Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Projects, a voluntary set of commitments to engage respectfully with communities, be sensitive to environmental and cultural values, and make a positive contribution to the regions in which we operate.
Over the past few years Ark Energy has enjoyed supporting a variety of community events and organisations including the Bowen River Rodeo in Collinsville, Polocrosse Night Chukkas in Bowen, Show Whitsunday in Proserpine, the Great Barrier Reef Festival at Airlie Beach, Collinsville State High School’s team for the Hydrogen Grand Prix PRO, the Mackay-Whitsunday-Isaac Healthy Rivers to Reef Partnership and the team at Collinsville Connect Telecentre. We are enjoying working with the residents and community members for Collinsville, Scottville, Proserpine, Bowen, Airlie Beach, Mackay and the wider Whitsunday region, and we look forward to delivering meaningful and lasting benefits from the project.
