Boomer Green Energy Hub
The Boomer Green Energy Hub represents a significant opportunity for Queensland's central west region to benefit from Australia's energy transition. The project area is approximately 30 km south-west of Marlborough and 70 km south of St Lawrence.
Community sessions - August 2025
Interested community members are invited to join the project team for an update on work done to date and next steps for the project:
- Duaringa - 4-6pm Wednesday, 13 August, Duaringa Golf Club, Capricorn Highway
- Marlborough - 4-6pm Thursday, 14 August, Marlborough Community Hall, Milman St
- Rockhampton - 12-2pm Friday, 15 August, Boomer Green Energy Hub Information Centre, 1/24 William St
Refreshments will be provided. To assist with catering please RSVP noting which session to info@boomerhub.com.au by Friday, 8 August 2025. Everyone is welcome, and the project team looks forward to the opportunity to discuss the project and answer questions.
Status
The project is in early development. Work underway includes wind resource monitoring, cultural heritage studies with the Traditional Owners, the Barada Kabalbara Yetimarala People, environmental assessment work, consultation, and civil and electrical design.
