Korea Zinc’s deal for CopperString 2.0 a boost for hydrogen and clean energy future

Our parent company, Korea Zinc, has given a A$17 million boost in the form of a financing agreement to the CopperString 2.0 project which is a 1,000km high-voltage transmission line that will connect Mount Isa and the North West Minerals Province to the National Electricity Grid in Townsville. CopperString 2.0 is expected to unlock substantial new investment in renewable energy projects in North Queensland and in turn drive new investments in minerals projects and facilitate new growth industries such as green hydrogen.
